Youth & Family

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14). We take God's calling to love seriously and care for our little ones. Nursery is offered every morning worship service for children ages birth through three years old, who are lovingly cared for by screened and trained volunteers.

Worship and lessons for children ages 3-6 years old during morning service. Because we believe passionately in the formation of our young children. This isn’t just a time to get away from the adults, but is an intentional, educational, and Bible-based worship experience so that our children may grow in the likeness of Christ.

After Sunday morning worship, we offer Sunday School for kids 1st grade through 12th grade. The groups are divided by elementary, middle, and high school, and all are welcome!

Cadets is a program that focuses on building strong peer relationships between boys in 1st through 8th grade. Together we learn the ways in which God wants us to live. Cadets teaches young boys how to get along with one another through small hands-on projects, crafts, occasional overnight camping trips, and lessons devoted to the teachings of God, spiritual growth, and faith.

Cadets takes place on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from October through March, and coincide with Family Night.

GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) is a Christian club that welcomes girls in 1st through 5th grade to come together and take time to praise and worship, pray, and participate in Bible studies. GEMS encourages young girls to create friendships by allowing them to enjoy activities together including badge work and crafts. GEMS is the perfect place to learn and grow into who God has created them to be, and takes place on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from October through March (coinciding with Family Night).

Anchored Girls Group brings girls in 6th through 8th grade together to enjoy singing, fun conversations about God and our sisters in Christ, hands-on crafts and projects, and lessons aimed at teaching young girls how to stay Anchored in their faith as they prepare for the challenges and pressures of being a teen in the twenty-first century. Anchored meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from October through March, coinciding with Family Night.

SOLE (Serving Our Lord Everywhere) is open to all 6th- 8th grade students. We meet on the third Sunday of the month (7-9pm) from September through May, and go on at least one fun outing together once a month. Our goal is to be a safe place where we can learn more about God and develop our personal relationships with Him, and a place where we can make new friendships. We also serve the homeless at a community kitchen once a year, and we do a service project. (We have made fleece blankets, blessing bags, filled duffel bags for kids in foster care, filled shoeboxes for kids overseas and collected shoes for Soles for souls).

Sunday night Bible study for students in 9th through 12th grade. At each meeting, we share a meal, a time for games and creativity, and Bible lessons. We also plan monthly events and service opportunities, along with an annual summer schedule and yearly retreat. Our main goal is to provide a space for encouragement and learning on our students’ walk with Jesus.

CORDS is our college-age church correspondence ministry that aims to encourage our post-high young adults through thought and prayer.
